Christmas Outing for Born 1942 and After: December 7

On Wednesday, December 7, the "Born 1942 and After" Baby Boomer group will visit the Festival of Lights at the Mormon Temple Visitors' Center located at 990 Stoneybrook Drive in Kensington, MD.  The Temple grounds will be aglow with over 650,000 lights.  We will enjoy life sized outdoor nativity scenes, internationally themed Christmas trees, and displays of creches from around the world.  The highlight of the evening will be a free concert by Los Parranderos who will give us a taste of a Puerto Rican Christmas.  Los Parranderos is a traditional musical group that plays folk music from the countryside of Puerto Rico.  The group offers music on guitars, a tiple, a cuatro a carracho, and maracas.  The concert begins at 7:00 pm, but we do need to arrive at the Visitors' Center at 6:00 pm to pick up our free tickets.

We will meet at The Inter-Faith Chapel parking lot at 5:15 PM on Wednesday, December 7.  We will pick up our concert tickets first, then enjoy the lights, trees, and creches.  This is a free event, open to the public.  After the concert, we will gather at an area coffee shop for coffee and dessert.  If you plan on attending, please submit this form by December 6.
